Log on issues

Your outstanding request with the Scomis Service Desk (Call reference F0224223) :Hosted Apps: Users having to log on twice has been placed on hold until 29/04/2016 10:00:00 because of the following :

This week we have increased the number of front end  servers by nearly 20% and implemented an SSD Cache on our virtual infrastructure which hosts these servers.

In our internal testing we believe this has solved the problem of multiple logons where before some users were finding the logon session failed and they had to logon 2 or 3 times before SIMS was loaded.  In visiting schools to observe this problem it was noted that some users hadn't clicked OK on the data protection screen before it timed out in effect causing a double login.

Regarding the performance of the service once the user has logged in we are still working through troubleshooting some issues with schools around 08:45 through to 09:15 and 11:45 through to 12:15.

Would you be able to seek feedback from your colleagues to check their experience of the service this week, please ask.

Have they experience the multiple login issue this week?

Have they noticed an overall improvement in the performance of SIMS throughout the day?

Have  they noticed performance issues at the times I mentioned around 08:45 through to 09:15 and 11:45 through 12:15?
